7 8s on the 7th

I played another session on Friday after the post. I ran quite well again and consequently I did quite well, I finished up $1.76 from 115 hands. One of the memorable hands was a very unconventional play by me.

I knew I was no good on the flop, but I decided to donk bet. I was aware of what I was doing, but not really sure why. Sometimes I just make random plays that pay off more often than not.
Anyway, I didn't play over the weekend. I played a live tournament on Saturday. There were about 50 runners and I burst the final table bubble after getting all in with queens vs 7s, who flopped the set. I wasn't too upset, as I got lucky as a short stack earlier. (Someone tried to raise to 2900 preflop with blinds of 1000/2000, so it counted as a call, then it folded round to the small blind who called and I checked my big blind with 95. The flop was K2K, I check-raised all in, the preflop attempted raiser showed K8 and I turned the flush. Then I was dealt kings and tens in the next two hands.) Yesterday, I was too busy watching the rest of Day 8 of the WSOP before the final table, about which I was rather excited.
So today I resumed my online grind. I started badly, feeling a little out of practise after playing a NLHE tournament, and played very loose. I busted on one table, and the one table with a profit broke. However, I then got my act together a little and began to grind it back up. I won a decent sized pot thanks to a good check-raise on the flop and another player turning a hand.

I finished down $0.28 from 184 hands, which was $0.70 up from the low.
I then played a fairly unremarkable session, but one in which I was playing well again and made $0.66 from 108 hands.
I played a third session just now. I started by running very well on one table, making almost $1 by the first rotation. I was quite pleased with the way I slowplayed the flopped nuts but, again, lucky that another player made some kind of a hand.

River: (11 BB) 4 (4 players) SB checks, Psychomobil bets, MP1 raises, 1 fold, SB calls, Psychomobil 3-bets, MP1 caps, 1 fold, Psychomobil calls
Results: Psychomobil had A, 7 (flush, Ace high). MP1 had 5, 4 (three of a kind, fours).
Outcome: Psychomobil won $0.80
However, I then went from being in profit by around $1.10 to $0.30 in a few sick hands, particularly flopping the second nuts with a set of tens to be beaten by a set of kings for a $1.21 pot, then losing with aces against k6 and 8s vs 7s. I was dealt 8s 7 times today, mostly in the last session. I think I won with them once. Fortunately it was a good win, in which I was donk-bet into, after flopping the nuts.

And I'm not so excited about the WSOP anymore, mainly because both Sam Holden and Eoghan O'Dea were knocked out last night. I just hope Ben Lamb doesn't win. He irritates me.
